Farewell to Prize Lambs

Last Friday was the largest ewe lamb sale of the year for Ashford Market and we entered nearly 500 lambs of our own. Another nail-biting day for Stuart.  Our lambs, all born at Hare Farm this Spring, will go on to breed their own in 18 months' time, on other pastures green. We had hoped for higher prices but the overall price across the sale was down....the blow was softened a bit when we picked up second prize for the best pen of lambs on the day. That's not a bad feat when over 7000 lambs were there.
