First Draw is a Good One

On Tuesday our first batch of lambs were sent to Ashford market. This is two weeks later than previous years, due to such a cold and late spring and the lambs are growing more slowly.

Despite a falling trade, where prices were slightly lower on the week before, it was quite a momentous day when for the first time, a pen of 47 kilo lambs broke the three figure mark.

We plan to sell lambs now on a weekly basis, so having a weekly income finally is great from a business point of view. Let's hope the good trade continues as input costs have been higher than ever this year.
