Lambing Charity Day on March 12th

On Saturday March 12th, we are opening the lambing shed doors to raise money for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

Join in on a Mini Lambing Workshop

Two mini-workshops of two-hour durations will take place on the day (10-12 and 2-4pm) at Hare Farm, Brede, Rye, East Sussex.

For a donation of £10 per person, you'll gain a unique and magical insight into what goes on during lambing time, something which very few people get to see. We will cover  all aspects of pre and post natal care, from spotting signs of labour to ringing the lambs' tails.

With over 900 ewes expecting lambs, we expect you to witness a hive of activity during the two-hour workshops. And of course there will be chance for plenty of lamb cuddles!

How to Book your Space

Spaces are limited and you do need to confirm your place(s) in advance. We cannot guarantee any spare tickets on the day, so please contact Joanna at with any questions or to confirm your place.

Our Connection with The Royal Marsden

Joanna, one of the Hare Farm lambing team, is running the London Marathon in April, in memory of our Mum, who herself devoted her life to the family and farm. Without the Royal Marsden's help, Mum's life would have been cut even shorter.

Joanna needs to raise £2,000 in order to take part and the lambing day is our only fund-raising event.

Other Lambing Courses

At Hare Farm, we also run day-long lambing courses on separate March dates which will give a more thorough learning experience. There are just a handful of spaces left and more details can be found here
