The Last Lamb is Finally Here

7 weeks later and 1900 births since the first, our last lamb has finally arrived. We can now officially put the 2013 lambing season to bed.

There's been many positives for this season's lambing. Strong lambs, lots of milk from the mothers, good staff and a successful system have all played their part in softening the terrible blows of poor weather and lack of grass. It's been a costly lambing with more hours and more food needed. Man and beast have had it tough what with the snow arriving on Day 2 of lambing and the subsequent wet and cold weather making conditions hard to work in.

But we are through it now and warmer weather has finally arrived.....
