Playing Mum....

It's been perfect weather for lambing and all of the jobs that go with it. One of them is feeding the sock lambs, and we have twelve of them so far. I've named the smallest, Sprout!

Our sock lambs are orphans, which means we now play "Mum". This means bottle feeding morning, noon and night. At first they have to be taught how to suck from the bottle. Now they are so eager to feed, they latch on to my spare fingers when the bottle's not free. It's lovely to see them playing in the sun, then cuddle up together for a nap. Stuart won't let them cuddle up to me on the sofa....yet!

It's hard not to get too attached.
