The Prettiest Crop on the Farm

In our commitment to environmental schemes at Hare Farm, we now have 5 acres of fabulous "bird cover" crops. They have been planted in order to encourage certain bird species to thrive in the Brede Valley. The tree sparrow and yellow hammer are the targets for this project.

A mix of eight different plant species has produced a beautiful sight at the moment, with the fields awash with blooms. The mix includes phacelia, kale, dwarf sunflower, millet blend, mustard, buckwheat, linseed, canary seed.

When staying in the self catering accommodation of the oast house or shepherd's hut, why not take a walk and enjoy the sight too?
