Richard Hammond films at Hare Farm

It was an absolute pleasure to welcome The Grand Tour back to Hare Farm for the second year running, this time to film part of Series 3: Episode 10 which was aired earlier this year.

Richard Hammond spent the day on the farm, filming two main scenes. One was a car stunt at the lake location, where he drove a Ford Fiesta, pushing a boy in a boat down the hill who then launched off a car roof into the lake, sailed to the island and landed happily!

The second location was in the fields amongst the reeds and water. It was filmed with David Yarrow, world-renowned wildlife photographer. David flew in from China that day, and his task was to shoot Richard driving his car through the marshes of teh Brede Valley, creating a huge splash and mimicking the look of a wild animal at full speed.

It was such a relaxed day, with both Richard and David being super friendly, making time for our children and the Oast guests. It was great fun to be involved and we feel very proud that Hare Farm has now played host to The Grand Tour on two separate occasions. Both Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond have graced our soil. Next time it's got to be James May!
