Snowy Outside, Toasty Inside

What a pretty picture.

I can't stop taking photos of the shepherd's hut. Whatever the weather, she looks so contented perched on the brow of Chestnuts Field.

The sheep love her too it seems, huddled around her at feeding time. This shot was taken at 8 o'clock yesterday morning, just as Stuart was approaching them with their morning feed.

I have my first guests staying on holiday in the shepherd's hut this weekend. The woodburner is fully tested, in fact it can get so toasty, we've been opening the windows even on a snowy day...Bliss! I had thought about adding a rug on the wooden floor but not any more...not now that I have found even the wooden floor heats up so beautifully, it would be criminal to lay a rug over it!
