Stay on a Farm at Lambing Time

Lambing starts here at Hare Farm on 10th March (the official due date) and will continue 4 to 5 weeks from then. The lambing sheds are a hive of activity with our 1000 ewes bringing new life into the world indoors, and within a day or two the mothers and lambs get sent back out to grass.

One of the first fields to be grazed by the new mothers with their lambs in toe, will be Chestnuts, home to our isolated shepherd's hut. The oast house is also a fabulous spot to stay during lambing, with its gardens all bordering the fields where the lambs will roam.

There's no more authentic way to enjoy the lambing season than to stay in the same accommodation that shepherds used to during Victorian times. Our shepherds hut is brand new, and is a fabulous way to enjoy a break away as a couple. The sheep and lambs will no doubt entertain you for hours on end, frolicking around and under the hut.

The oast house is ideal for large groups. It sleeps 12 and is still available for some of March and April.

Find Stuart in good spirits, and he may let you bottle feed the lambs too....
