LIFE ON THE FARM

Here at Hare Farm, we take great care in what we do, whether thatโ€™s in our sheep farming, when being host to guests, or in our role as custodians of this unique slice of Sussex.

A bounty of sheep and wildlife We have found the balance between the two. 1000 sheep graze the valley, and over 100 species of birdlife have been spotted here too. Be entertained from the comfort of your sofa or take a walk and see.

Treading lightly in a natural landscape From generating our own electricity, to stoking the fire with logs from the farm, from planting hedges to working only with local trades, we make every effort to keep the carbon footprint very low at Hare Farm.

Preserving an historic past Dating back to medieval times, Hare Farm has a long, lifetime story to tell. Youโ€™ll find sensitively restored buildings here, a network of hedgerows, ancient driveways and traditional grazing.
